Why visit?
Since its inception in 1984, the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition has become one of the world’s leading fishing events. Held only once every three years, the 2011 event will cover over 13,000 m2 of inside and outside exhibition space. Nearly 500 companies are expected to showcase the latest developments in the commercial fishing industry; from the design and construction of vessels, through locating and catching, processing and packaging to marketing and distribution of the final product. In addition a number of countries will have National Pavilions, details of which will be released nearer the time.
The last show, held in 2008, attracted nearly 12,500 attendees from 50 countries including fleet owners, skippers of trawlers and super trawlers and fish processors.
