VIPs from Campeche, Mexico visit the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition for the first time.

Travelling all the way from the State of Campeche in Mexico as part of the Icefish VIP delegation, key players from the Mexican commercial fishing industry attended the opening ceremony and the first day of the exhibition.

This exciting new development in the VIP delegation programme means influential representatives from Mexican local government will be present at the event to meet exhibitors and network with visitors.

VIPs from the State of Campeche in Mexico include: Consul of Iceland; Commercial & Industrial Development Secretary; Fishery Secretary and Chamber of Fisheries Industry.

The Icelandic Minister of Fisheries & Agriculture, Jón Bjarnason,  officially opened the 10th Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition on 22 September 2011.The opening ceremony was followed by a tour of the exhibition, when the Minister met with a number of exhibiting International and Icelandic Companies together with the other VIP guests.
